In the year 1953 the Krittibas magazine was first published under his editorship. At that time he was also editor of "Agami Sahitya" Patrika . 

He was attached in a cultural organisation named "Harbola" from the year 1953.And in the year 1955 a drama "Muktadhara" by Rabindranath Tagore was staged where he enacted his part .

From the Year 1965 he started to write in "Desh" magazine with Neellohit as his penname and in "Anandabazar Patrika" as Neelupadhyay. In the year 1966 he started to write in "Desh" the serial named "Sahitya Sambad" as Sanatanpathak .

In the Year 1982 a cultural association "BudhSandhya" was organised and was formed by him.

In the year 1985 2nd April a organization named "Pather Panchali" was formed in Bangaon in order to help the downtrodden and the distressed women. He became the president of the organization.
